Elizabeth Ceuninck - Specializing in OCD, Anxiety, and Family Therapy
I support individuals and families in navigating the challenges of intrusive thoughts, overwhelming worries, and relational stressors that impact daily life.
Elizabeth Ceuninck, M.Ed./Ed.S (she/her)
I work with adolescents, adults, and families to create a safe, supportive space where healing and growth can take place. Whether you’re struggling with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety and related concerns, or relational challenges within your family, my approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and clinical expertise.
OCD and Anxiety Therapy in a Supportive, Strength-Based Environment
Do you or your child ever feel trapped in a cycle of anxious thoughts, compulsions, or overwhelming worries that interfere with daily life? You’re not alone—and there is help.
During my training at The University of Florida’s Intensive Outpatient OCD Program, I received specialized training in treating OCD using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard approach for OCD treatment. I tailor each treatment plan to meet the unique needs of every client, combining research-based techniques with a warm, relational style.
Whether you’re experiencing intrusive thoughts, chronic worry, phobias, panic symptoms, or generalized anxiety, I help clients not only reduce symptoms but also build long-term resilience and self-trust. Together, we’ll work to break the cycle of avoidance, restore confidence, and reconnect with the life you want to lead.
My work is especially focused on helping individuals:
- Navigate the distress of intrusive thoughts and compulsions
- Build tools for managing chronic anxiety and fear-based avoidance
- Strengthen relationships impacted by mental health challenges
- Foster lasting behavioral change aligned with personal values
Family Therapy for Connection, Healing, and Growth
In addition to my clinical training, I bring over eight years of experience counseling in educational settings, which has given me deep insight into the dynamics of adolescence, emerging adulthood, and family life. My approach to family therapy is relational, structured, and trauma-informed. I draw primarily from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Structural Family Therapy (SFT) to help families shift from reactivity to repair.
- IFS therapy helps individuals understand and care for the many “parts” of themselves—the inner voices that protect, push, or carry emotional pain. IFS offers a powerful, gentle path toward healing from past wounds, increasing self-compassion, and reducing inner conflict.
- Structural Family Therapy complements IFS by focusing on family roles, boundaries, and interaction patterns. This approach helps reorganize family systems to promote balance, respect, and emotional connection at home.
Whether you’re seeking support for parent-child conflict, communication issues, or healing after a period of stress, I work collaboratively with families to restore clarity and cohesion.
A Client-Centered, Evidence-Based Approach
In every session, my goal is to offer practical, empathetic support that empowers clients to make meaningful and lasting change. I remain committed to ongoing training in the most current and effective interventions for OCD, trauma, anxiety disorders, and family systems work.
Therapy can feel vulnerable—and finding the right fit matters. I prioritize building a transparent, nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe to explore, learn, and grow.
