Anna Griggers

Hello, my name is Anna. I am a mental health professional dedicated to helping my clients explore and improve their relationship with themselves, others, and the world around them. If you are looking for more and want to live a life that aligns with your desires, intuition, and values, you are in the right place.

I believe every person has a unique story and set of experiences that shape their mental and emotional well-being. My goal is to hold space for you to safely and with compassion, explore your unique story and together work to uncover the underlying causes of your struggles and develop strategies to overcome them.

I specialize in working with individuals and couples to address trauma, codependency, substance use, relationship concerns, control issues, burnout, disordered eating, alongside anxiety and depression. I use an integrative approach to meet the needs of each individual or couple through a trauma-informed lens coupled with evidence-based approaches such as Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and EMDR. My work also incorporates knowledge and philosophy of the 12-steps, family of origin work, somatic experiencing, and mindfulness practices.

I hold a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. In my work as a mental health professional, my experience has revolved around delivering clinical services to adult individuals and their families within the family program at Metro Atlanta Recovery Residences (MARR). My work encompassed providing counseling sessions to couples and families, conducting psychoeducational and process groups, as well as organizing workshops tailored for both the local Atlanta community and MARR families.

Through my experience supporting spouses, parents, siblings, and children navigating relationships with individuals battling substance use, I’ve cultivated a deep-seated passion for supporting these individuals on their journey to reclaim their voice and foster healing. This involves addressing complex issues such as codependency, establishing healthy boundaries, nurturing self-esteem, navigating emotions, and fostering constructive relationship dynamics with those battling substance use and pursuing recovery. My work at MARR has also shaped the populations, clientele, and concerns I work with as a part of my practice now.

If you are curious for self-growth, desire more, or want to start pursuing life out of more love and less fear taking the next step can sound great but feel overwhelming. I am here to walk with you, to help you towards self-empowerment to live the life you desire.
