Anna Griggers, MS, APC (she/her)
As a dedicated therapist based in Atlanta, I’m passionate about helping individuals explore and improve their relationships with themselves, others, and the world around them. If you are a perfectionist or an overachiever striving to live a life aligned with your desires, intuition, and values, you are in the right place.
I understand that every person has a unique story and set of experiences that shape their mental and emotional well-being. My mission is to provide a safe, compassionate space for you to explore your story, uncover the underlying causes of your struggles, and develop effective strategies to overcome them. I deeply believe in the power of empathy and understanding in the healing process.
I specialize in addressing trauma, codependency, substance use, relationship concerns, control issues, burnout, disordered eating, anxiety, and depression. My approach is integrative and tailored to meet your specific needs, utilizing evidence-based methods. I emphasize Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to provide comprehensive treatment for trauma and relationship counseling.
My integrative approach also includes trauma-informed care, somatic experiencing, mindfulness practices, and the philosophy of the 12-steps. I am committed to helping you develop a stronger, healthier relationship with yourself and others.
I hold a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. My experience includes delivering clinical services to adults and their families at Metro Atlanta Recovery Residences (MARR). There, I provided individual and family counseling, led psychoeducational and process groups, and organized workshops for the Atlanta community and MARR families.
Supporting spouses, parents, siblings, and children in navigating relationships with individuals battling substance use has cultivated a deep-seated passion for helping clients reclaim their voices and foster healing. This involves addressing complex issues such as codependency, establishing healthy boundaries, nurturing self-esteem, managing emotions, and fostering constructive relationship dynamics.
If you are curious about self-growth, desire more from life, or want to pursue living with more love and less fear, taking the next step can feel overwhelming. I am here to walk with you on this journey, helping you towards self-empowerment and a life that truly reflects your deepest values and aspirations.
